Beschreibung
Hectic and stress are part of everyday life in a meritocracy. The longing for peace, relaxation and recuperation is correspondingly great. The "Market of Possibilities" offers a wide variety of possibilities: from esoteric guidebooks to monastery holidays, from eastern meditation practices to spiritual hiking holidays. All of them have the aim of giving the soul a breathing space. The author shows possibilities how God's word can become a source of strength in our lives, so that we can withstand the stress of everyday life. He unfolds a Christian spirituality on the basis of biblical textual observation (meditation). Practical help is given: for daily Bible reading (time with God), organisation of retreats (Silent Day, Silent Weekend) and various types of image meditation. The explanations are the result of many years of experience and therefore tried and tested in practice. The presented biblical texts are not only suitable for retreats, alone and in groups, but can also serve as a basis for Bible studies, Bible discussions in house groups and groups, as well as a template for sermons and devotions.
