"On me let this iniquity be" (1. Samuel 25:24)! "Pease forgive the trespass of your maidservant" (1. Samuel 25:28)! The intercession of the law-giver and leader for Israel, Moses, shows wonderfully the priestly SPIRIT of our LORD JESUS when he prays: "Oh, this people have commited a great sin ... Yet now, if You will forgive their sin; but if not I pray, blot me out of Your book which You have written" (Exodus 32:31-32). It is the same with the faith of the world apostle and Europe missionary Paul: "... I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed from CHRIST for my brethren, my countrymen according to the flesh" (Romans 9:1-3).
