Beschreibung
Since the end of the 1980s, a group of educationalists have been investigating the "Bourgeois Cold " (Horkheimer/Adorno); this theoretical figure of Critical Theory has been made accessible and its relevance demonstrated by numerous small empirical observations. The aim of this volume is to give an overview of these findings and to provide an interim balance of previous research on how adolescents learn, despite and through pedagogy, to become cold, i.e. how pedagogy is involved in the reproduction of bourgeois coldness.
