Planning and Evaluation of development projects is an essential area for economic and social development in a country. It is an instrument to improve proper preparation of development projects and to evaluate project concepts and implementation for the benefit of the people and the national society. This book intents to present a methodology in project planning, evaluation and management for academic training as well as for day-to-day work of project staff. This book is a translation of a book published in German and other languages by Prof. Dr. Werner Doppler, University oh Hohenheim, Germany. To improve the access to this material for people reading Arabic language it has been translated by Dr. Salwa Mohamed Almohamed, Syria, and Dr. Mohammad Majdalawi, Jordan, former PhD students of Prof. Doppler who are now in respective positions in their home countries. Translation has been done to the best knowledge and showed that in some cases it is not so easy to meet precisely the aspects and circumstances described and explained in the original version. From that point of view the reader may understand the basic intention to provide methodological knowledge and material to a large group of persons and professionals in the Arabic world.
