Sometime, the investigation of drowning becomes very tough job for the forensic experts, especially when question is raised on the site of drowning. It may happen under some circumstances particularly when water current drags the body from one place to another in the same site and there is no concordance at diatom level. Solution for this type of problem is answerable to little measures with the help of diatomological monitoring in water bodies. Basically, this book is an exemplified reference guide for the experts to understand how to generate diatomological maps of water bodies to forensically solve the mysteries involved with drowning cases. We have presented it in reference to diatom study of water bodies of Punjab.

Dr. Rajvinder Singh is working as Assistant Professor in Forensic Science in Department of Genetics, Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana (India). His educational background includes Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Forensic Science. His research work is based on the forensic diatomology.
