The government of Kenya introduced devolution and decentralization of its services so as to spur economic growth at grassroots level. One strategy of achieving this was through the constituency development fund that was disbursed to all constituencies in the country. This model allowed encouraged citizen participation and prioritization of development projects in their localities. Gatanga Constituency was lauded as the best in the utilization of projects that had brought meaningful change to the local residents. This book detailed the strategies applied by the managers of the fund and the level of success that was achieved. The book has used academic and social parameters to measure project performance.
