Identities and Modernizations

This book presents the discussion of scholars from China and Central and Eastern European countries about issues of identities and modernization. To what extent and by what means should traditional identities be modified so that they ensure the permanence and effectiveness of the modernization process?

Tadeusz Buksi?ski holds the Chair of Social and Political Philosophy of the University of Pozna? (Poland). He has published more than 150 articles in Polish, English and German and 15 monographic books. His research concentrates on social philosophy, ethics, and the philosophy of religion.
