Salinity, crop productivity and ecological sustainability

The book discusses the factors affecting the salinity in the southwest coastal region of Bangladesh. In addition. it shows the performance of difference crops productivity under the salinity prevail condition and suggests some remedial measures with political economy point of view. It is sure to be of interest to researchers, scientists, policy makers, ecological economists and thinking persons in different walks of life as they deliberate on issues at the interface of environment and development.

Md. Hafiz Iqbal is a Bangladesh Civil Service Cadre Officer and is with Edward College. He received his BSS (economics) and MSS (economics) from University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Later, he did MS (development economics) from Hiroshima University, Japan and MSc (climate change and development) from Independent University, Bangladesh.
